Carmen van Den Elsen

Carmen van den Elsen is an experienced museum educator currently working as a Museumdocent at Nederlands Openluchtmuseum since July 2022. Carmen also serves as a Werkplaatsspecialist at Omlab from March 2021, focusing on realizing products for businesses, designers, and artists. Previous roles include Verkoopmedewerker at Eltink|Tilders Meubelen B.V., where Carmen assisted customers in finding the perfect design furniture, and various teaching and assisting positions in visual arts education at Helicon Opleidingen VMBO and Het Hooghuis. Carmen has also gained experience in event management at Confusion Events, supporting artists and managing cash operations. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor in Education for visual arts from Fontys University of Applied Sciences, alongside two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Spatial & Graphic Design and Glass Art & Ceramics. All academic pursuits underscore a strong foundation in both practical and innovative approaches to design and arts education.
