John M "Shane" Munnelly has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. John M "Shane" started their career as an ICU Staff Nurse at the Veterans Administration in 1998. John M "Shane" then worked as an Agency/Contract RN at Favorite Healthcare Staffing from 1999 to 2003. Munnelly also worked as a Registered Nurse at Longmont United Hospital from 2003 to 2011.

In 2010, Munnelly joined Banner Health as a PACU Nurse at Northern Colorado Medical Center. John M "Shane" then continued their educational journey at the University of Northern Colorado, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from 1995 to 1998.

In June 1998, they obtained Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association. Later, in September 2016, they obtained their Certified Case Manager (CCM) certification from The Commission for Case Manager Certification.
