Patrick Lowney

Patrick Lowney has a diverse work experience that spans across various industries. Patrick started their career in journalism, working as a Producer/Writer for News 12 New Jersey, 7 NEWS WHDH-TV, and NECN. In these roles, Patrick was responsible for creating and writing news content.

Patrick then transitioned into the field of proposal management, working as a Proposal Writer II and III at IGT, where they researched and wrote proposal sections to support business growth. Patrick later joined Jenzabar as a Proposal Manager, overseeing the RFP and RFI processes for the company's business units and customers. At Aretec, Inc., Patrick continued their work as a Proposal Manager, overseeing multiple projects related to proposal responses.

Patrick also has experience in public health and communications. Patrick worked at the Rhode Island Department of Health as an Assistant Joint Information Center Manager, where they developed and executed public information plans and strategies for the COVID-19 response. Patrick also advised leadership on public relations issues affecting the response.

Prior to their current position, Patrick worked at the University of Rhode Island as a Coordinator, where they authored feature stories and news items for the iCubed website.

Currently, Patrick Lowney holds the position of Manager of Provider Communications at Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island. Overall, their experience includes roles in journalism, proposal management, public health communications, and coordination.

Patrick Lowney earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Journalism from the University of Rhode Island, which they attended from 2001 to 2004. Patrick later pursued further education and obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Communication Studies from the same institution from 2012 to 2014.
