Dirk Brown has extensive work experience in various roles within the telecommunications and technology industries. Dirk began their career at Hitachi Telecom as a Product Manager, where they introduced new video conferencing products and developed sales and marketing strategies. Dirk then worked at MCI Telecommunications Corporation as a Marketing Programs Consultant, responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing programs for new data and voice products. Dirk subsequently joined WATRING & ASSOCIATES as a Product Implementation Consultant, providing consulting services for the introduction of new telecommunications products. Dirk was responsible for a significant portion of the company's earnings during their tenure.

Dirk then joined AT&T, where they held several senior roles. As a Group Product Manager, they had marketing, financial, and new product responsibilities for directory assistance, operator, and calling card services. Dirk played a crucial role in growing annual revenue in these areas, marking the first growth in a decade. Dirk also served as the International New Business Marketing Manager, focusing on developing new business lines for consumer Internet and enterprise data products in South American and European markets. Dirk's financial business case models helped secure funding and create implementation strategies. At AT&T, they also served as the Senior Product Portfolio Manager, defining the nationwide strategy for business voice, data, and wireless products, and as the Senior Product Strategist, synthesizing customer needs and emerging technologies for business products with an annual revenue of $3.1 billion.

Dirk then moved on to PGi, where they held leadership positions such as Senior Director of Global Product Management and Vice President of Global Product Management. In these roles, they led global teams and was responsible for the development of collaboration and communications products for a $600 million revenue company. During their time at PGi, Dirk pioneered the first global conferencing mobile application for BlackBerry and iPhone and played a crucial role in the market deployment of an international collaboration product with $400 million annual revenue.

In 2020, Dirk joined Charityvest as a Business Development professional, where they provided personal and workplace giving solutions. Dirk collaborated with Earthshare to create a single giving platform for workplace giving campaigns and affiliates. Dirk then joined Conserv in 2021 as an Advisor in Market Development. Dirk'swork focused on exploring additional markets for hardware used to monitor environmental controls for cultural institutions.

Most recently, Dirk joined Neighborly Software as the Vice President of Product Management, starting in November 2021. Overall, Dirk's work experience highlights their expertise in product management, business development, marketing, and strategic planning in the telecommunications and technology sectors. In addition to their professional roles, Dirk is also passionate about urban housing advocacy and development. Dirk has been actively involved in creating housing options that meet the needs of urban life, without altering the character of neighborhoods.

Dirk Brown obtained a BA in Classics from William & Mary in the years 1980 to 1984. Dirk then pursued an MBA in Product Management and Marketing from Emory University's Goizueta Business School, from 1988 to 1990. Additionally, Dirk received a certification as an Accessory Dwelling Unit Specialist from the Accessory Dwelling Academy in an unspecified year, as well as a Scrum Product Owner Certified (SPOC) certification from the Scrum Alliance in 2018. In 2008, they obtained a certification in Practical Product Management with Requirements from Pragmatic Marketing. Dirk also participated in a Summer Study in Greece program at Harvard University in 1983.
