Alec Weaver has a diverse work experience in video production and editing. Alec started their career in 2011 as a Freelance Videographer/Editor for Baylor University's Admissions Department, where they produced and edited videos for prospective students. Alec also worked as a Producer, Videographer, and Editor for The Dwyer Group from 2016 to 2018, creating promotional videos for various brands.
In 2017, Alec founded their own company called LightStory Studios, LLC, where they served as a Video Producer/Owner. Alec produced commercial and web content for businesses and brands, as well as conducted filmmaking workshops for kids. Alec's freelance work included positions such as a Freelance Video Producer for Baylor University's School of Nursing and a Freelance Video Editor for Neighborly.
In 2020, Alec joined Groove Jones as a Video Editor/VFX Artist, where they stayed until 2022. Alec gained experience working on visual effects and editing projects. Currently, Alec works as a Video Editor at Cheil Worldwide, a role they started in 2022.
Throughout their career, Alec has received recognition for their work, including winning Best Editing at Baylor's Black Glasses Film Festival. Alec has also been involved in the production of independent films and promotional videos for various organizations.
Alec Weaver attended Baylor University from 2011 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Film and Digital Media.
