Amanda Bailey is an experienced environmental analyst currently employed at the New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission since September 2016, where responsibilities include developing standardized guidance for project reviews focused on threatened and endangered species and conducting research on bat species in New York State. Prior roles include serving as a naturalist with Bar Harbor Whale Watch Co., identifying wildlife and educating cruise passengers, and working as an Indiana Bat Identifier with Vesper Environmental LLC on a project assessing the presence of the endangered Indiana bat in Pennsylvania. Additional experiences include positions as a fish and wildlife technician with the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation and a research assistant for marine mammal projects. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Maine.
