NEIWPCC [NŪ-Ē-PĬK] is a regional commission that helps the states of the Northeast preserve and advance water quality.

We engage and convene water quality professionals and other interested parties from New England and New York to collaborate on water, wastewater, and environmental science challenges across shared regions, ecosystems, and areas of expertise.

We develop, coordinate, and conduct training courses for wastewater and other water quality professionals regionally and nationwide.

We conduct research into water-related topics, monitor environmental factors, and fund such work by others. We also implement and fund environmental restoration and other on-the-ground projects.

We fund and/or staff programs that engage the public through events, exhibits, web and print publications, and other outreach activities.

We actively represent the interests of member states at meetings with federal and state officials and in regional and national water and wastewater associations.

The Environmental Specialists team at NEIWPCC conducts in-depth research and analysis on water quality and environmental factors, focusing on innovative solutions to regional challenges. They play a key role in monitoring ecological health, implementing and funding restoration projects, and providing expert guidance on environmental issues. Additionally, this team develops training programs and engages with the public to promote awareness and education about water quality and conservation efforts across the Northeast.
