Jennifer Lichtensteiger is an experienced environmental engineer currently working at NEIWPCC since July 2018, focusing on wastewater residual management and stakeholder collaboration. Previously, Jennifer held positions at various companies, including Anchor QEA, where responsibilities included budget development and contract negotiation for sediment remediation projects, and as a senior project manager at ARCADIS, where project performance was enhanced through advanced management systems. Early career experiences include project management roles at URS Corporation and GEI Consultants, managing environmental assessments and remediation activities. Jennifer holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Distribution from Clarkson University.
NEIWPCC
NEIWPCC [NŪ-Ē-PĬK] is a regional commission that helps the states of the Northeast preserve and advance water quality. We engage and convene water quality professionals and other interested parties from New England and New York to collaborate on water, wastewater, and environmental science challenges across shared regions, ecosystems, and areas of expertise. We develop, coordinate, and conduct training courses for wastewater and other water quality professionals regionally and nationwide. We conduct research into water-related topics, monitor environmental factors, and fund such work by others. We also implement and fund environmental restoration and other on-the-ground projects. We fund and/or staff programs that engage the public through events, exhibits, web and print publications, and other outreach activities. We actively represent the interests of member states at meetings with federal and state officials and in regional and national water and wastewater associations.
