Peter Zaykoski is the South Portland Program Manager at NEIWPCC, overseeing operations and programming for the South Portland, ME office since September 2018. Responsibilities include coordinating training programs for the Maine JETCC and managing staff within the Maine Drinking Water Program. Prior to this role, Peter served as Quality Assurance Program Manager at NEIWPCC and coordinated efforts with the NYS DEC for the Hudson River Estuary Program. Peter's experience includes positions as an Environmental Analyst at Kennison & Associates, Project Manager and Project Associate at SeaPlan, and Research Technician I at Duke University's Nicholas School of the Environment. Peter holds a Master of Environmental Management in Coastal Environmental Management from Duke University and a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Environmental Science from the University of Chicago.

NEIWPCC
NEIWPCC [NŪ-Ē-PĬK] is a regional commission that helps the states of the Northeast preserve and advance water quality. We engage and convene water quality professionals and other interested parties from New England and New York to collaborate on water, wastewater, and environmental science challenges across shared regions, ecosystems, and areas of expertise. We develop, coordinate, and conduct training courses for wastewater and other water quality professionals regionally and nationwide. We conduct research into water-related topics, monitor environmental factors, and fund such work by others. We also implement and fund environmental restoration and other on-the-ground projects. We fund and/or staff programs that engage the public through events, exhibits, web and print publications, and other outreach activities. We actively represent the interests of member states at meetings with federal and state officials and in regional and national water and wastewater associations.
