Miguel Valls

Miguel Valls has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Miguel started their career as the Co-Founder and Chairman of Dadata Capital in 2006. In 2007, they became an Investor and Board Advisor for SoundHound. From 2010 onwards, they served as the Co-Chair of the San Francisco - Barcelona Sister City Committee. In 2012, they co-founded Nektria and also became an Investor at Genalyte, Inc. Additionally, they joined the board of directors for companies such as Tech Barcelona, Mediktor, and Kiin. Miguel has also been a Founding Partner at Alta Life Sciences since 2016 and a Founding Investor and Board Advisor at Clear Labs since 2014. Miguel Valls' most recent role was as an Investor and Board Advisor at SoundHound, which ended in April 2022.

Miguel Valls' education history consists of various academic achievements across different institutions and fields of study. In 1986, they attended the Universitat de Barcelona, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Law, which they completed in 1992. From 1994 to 1995, Miguel enrolled at the Institut d’Estudis Financers (IEF) to study finance, earning a degree as a European Financial Analyst. In 1995, they joined MEFF and obtained a Licence in Options & Futures. Miguel then attended the European Financial Planning Association in 2002 to become a European Financial Advisor with a specialization in finance. In 2009, they briefly participated in an Executive Education program at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Recently, in 2018, Miguel completed the Blockchain strategy program at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, focusing on Blockchain technology. Additionally, Miguel attended the Lycée Français de Barcelone, although the specific degree and field of study were not provided for this institution.
