Toby Junker

Toby Junker is a highly experienced engineer with a focus on systems engineering and modeling in the energy sector. Currently serving as a Senior Systems Engineer at Nel Hydrogen since April 2021, Toby is involved in developing steady state models of PEM-based electrolyzer plants. Prior to this, Toby spent time at Raytheon Technologies as a Staff Engineer in aerospace and fuel cell modeling, and at United Technologies Research Center as a Staff Research Engineer focused on aerospace and fuel cell system analysis. Early career experience includes a role as a Systems Engineer at FuelCell Energy, specializing in molten carbonate and solid oxide fuel cell system design. Toby Junker holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware and a Diplom/Masters in Verfahrenstechnik/Chemical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University, along with additional studies at Carnegie Mellon University.
