Chris Davis

Chris Davis has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Starting in 1997, they worked as a Freelance Web Developer for self-employed IT projects until 2014. From 1997 to 2004, they also held roles as a Front-End Manager and Personnel Manager at Walmart. In 2004, they transitioned into the role of a Youth Pastor and Web Developer at Sanctuary Christian Fellowship until 2007. Chris continued their role as a Youth Pastor and Web Developer at West Ridge Christian Community Church from 2007 to 2010. Between 2011 and 2014, they worked as a Lead Web Developer at Media Marketers, leading a development team and collaborating with project management. From 2010 to 2017, they served as the Lead Pastor and Web Developer at Destiny Church, handling administrative duties and managing a large annual budget. At Nationwide Financial, they worked as a Web Software Developer from 2014 to 2019 before transitioning into the role of Manager, IT App Development from 2019 to 2021. Chris then joined The Rawlings Group as an Application Development Manager from 2021 to 2021. Currently, Chris works at Nelnet Bank, where they have held roles as a Software Engineering Manager, Senior Engineering Manager, and currently serves as the VP of Engineering since 2022.

Chris Davis obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion/Religious Studies from West Coast Bible College & Seminary in 2010. Chris later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from Purdue Global, although the start and end years are unknown. Chris is currently pursuing a Master of IT Management degree in Information Technology at Western Governors University, with an expected graduation date not specified. Furthermore, they are also pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership at Brandman University, which they are expected to complete in 2021. Chris holds multiple certifications, including Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner, Certified Internet Web Professional Web Foundations Associate (CIW), PHP Certification, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Project Management Foundations: Small Projects, and Finance: Time and Value of Money. Chris has also completed the Emerging Leaders Program with the Young Professionals Association of Louisville (YPAL) and is an OnBase Administrator certified by Hyland.
