Stephen Hebson

Stephen Hebson is a Co-Founder and CTO at Nelo since April 2019. Stephen is responsible for expanding access to real-time payments and credit in LATAM, starting in Mexico. Stephen has over 100,000 users and the company is growing more than 30% month-on-month.

Prior to Nelo, Stephen worked at Uber from June 2016 to April 2019. Stephen started as a Software Engineer and eventually became a Software Engineering Manager. As a manager, they led the Uber Eats Expansion team, responsible for new markets and new business models. Stephen'steam's products were directly responsible for over 20% of Eats orders globally and generated over $750MM in annualized bookings.

Before Uber, Stephen co-founded Overhead.fm in April 2012. Stephen served as a Co-Founder and provided customizable, licensed music for retail environments through the webapp. Stephen also worked as a Software Engineer at Vusay from June 2013 to April 2015, where they were the first engineering hire and contributed to the development of an embeddable point-in-time commenting system for video publishers.

Throughout their career, Stephen has demonstrated their expertise in full-stack engineering, JavaScript, Python, and Go.
