Megan Farrell has a comprehensive work experience in the education sector. Megan started their career at McGraw-Hill Ryerson, where they worked as a Key Account Specialist and later became the Sr. National Sales Manager. During their time at Pearson, Megan held the roles of Sr. Acquisitions Editor and Sr. Sales Manager in the Higher Education Division. Megan achieved significant sales growth and received recognition for their performance. Currently, Megan is working at Nelson as the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, where they have held multiple roles, including Vice President of the Edwin Account Executive Team, Executive Director of Professional Learning, and Director of Professional Learning. In these roles, they have been responsible for national and provincial market development, building relationships, and driving system-wide use of Nelson's learning solutions.
Megan Farrell graduated from the University of Ottawa in 1996 with a Bacc. Soc. Science degree in Political Science and Government. Megan later pursued a Certificate in Sales Management from the Schulich School of Business - York University, completing it in 2006. Megan has also obtained additional certifications, including an Indigenous Awareness Presentation in 2021 and Spring 2022 Attendance Approval from ERDI - Education Research Development and Innovation Corporation.
