James McGrath

James McGrath, AIA, ASLA, AICP, currently serves as Firmwide Transportation Practice Leader and Vice President at Perkins&Will, a position held since June 2018, while also acting as Director of Partnerships & Programs and Senior Principal at Nelson\Nygaard Consulting Associates since the same year. McGrath has a rich background in architecture and planning, having held roles such as Global Practice Lead at CH2M (2011-2018), Associate Partner at ZGF Architects LLP (2005-2011), and Intern Architect at Hennebery Eddy Architects, Inc. (2003-2005). Academic credentials include a Master of Architecture with a focus on Architecture and Landscape Architecture from the University of Oregon (2000-2003), a Bachelor of Arts in History of Art and Architecture and English Literature from Middlebury College (1994-1998), studies in Ancient Irish Art and History of Architecture at Trinity College Dublin (1996-1997), and a high school diploma from Regis High School in New York (1990-1994).
