Melanie Castrapel

With over 15 years in the A&E industry, Melanie leads the human resources function for Nelson\Nygaard. She has notable experience in performance management, change management, staffing, federal and state law compliance, employee benefits, compensation, training and development, and management coaching.

Melanie has always been passionate about people and finding solutions for her clients. She approaches her work with lots of curiosity—always asking questions to understand the root problem of a concern. Her approach is calm, direct, and adaptable. She enjoys the challenges that come with corporate change and has expertise navigating teams through the steps of change management.

A Portland native, Melanie enjoys exploring the changing city and urban parks with her family.
