Farzad Khanipour currently serves as a Doctoral Researcher at the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology PAS, focusing on the mTORopathic hippocampal DG/CA3 circuit connectopathy in relation to temporal lobe epilepsy and associated cognitive deficits. Previously, Farzad held the position of Biomedical Scientist at PersisGen, working on neuroprotective placental protein composition for therapeutic applications. As an R&D Scientist at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology, Farzad engaged in mechanistic cell biology, analyzing protein interactions in mitotic spindle formation. Farzad began a research career as a Research Assistant in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Tabriz University of Medical Sciences after earning a Master’s Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Guilan.
