Alejandro Fernandez Woodbridge is currently serving as an NGS Bioinformatics Developer at NEOGAP Therapeutics AB since January 2023. With a robust background in bioinformatics and computational biology, Alejandro co-founded Codon Consulting and DoubleStrand Bioinformatics, where Alejandro held the position of Senior Data Scientist from August 2019 to January 2023. Previously, Alejandro worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at SciLifeLab, focusing on ProtoGenomics integration, and acted as an NGS Evangelist at AstraZeneca, integrating user interfaces and NGS pipelines. Alejandro's academic credentials include a Ph.D. from Karolinska Institutet with a focus on epigenetics and chromatin architecture, complemented by a Master's degree from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universidad de Costa Rica. Early in their career, Alejandro gained experience in project management and software development at X-TEL Communications, ArtinSoft, and Sykes.
