Preetha Biswas

Preetha Biswas, Ph.D., has a distinguished work history in various research and development roles. Preetha started as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge in 1994, focusing on gene transfer studies related to the Simian Immunodeficiency Virus. Preetha then pursued roles at Fox Chase Cancer Center, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and Michigan State University, where they conducted research in HIV-1 frameshifting and modulating efficiency for antiviral therapeutics. Dr. Biswas also served as an R&D Manager at Antel BioSystems, focusing on diagnostic services for bovine diseases. Currently, they hold a significant leadership position as the Senior Director of Microbiology, Research and Development at Neogen Corporation, where they provide direction for product development initiatives related to microbiology-based diagnostics. Throughout their career, Dr. Biswas has demonstrated a strong focus on developing innovative technologies and revenue-generating solutions in the field of microbiology.

Preetha Biswas, Ph.D., earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the Analysis of Dispensable Glycoproteins of Herpes Simplex Virus Type-1 from the University of Cambridge in 1994. Prior to this, they completed their M. Tech in Agricultural Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur from 1988 to 1990, and their M.Sc. in Animal Sciences from the University of Hyderabad from 1986 to 1988.
