Elves H. Duarte, PhD, holds extensive experience in bioinformatics and genomics, currently serving as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at NeoGenomics Laboratories since April 2023. Previous roles include Clinical Bioinformatics Scientist at Inivata, Researcher at the University of Cambridge, and Lecturer at Universidade Jean Piaget de Cabo Verde, among others. Elves has a robust academic background with a Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Biology from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, a Master of Philosophy in Entomology from the University of Montpellier, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Universidade de Cabo Verde. Research expertise includes genomics, infectious diseases, and vector biology, complemented by teaching experience in biostatistics and bioinformatics.
