Samar Abumahaimeed

Samar Abumahaimeed, CG(ASCP), currently serves as a FISH/cytogenetic technologist at NeoGenomics Laboratories since September 2023. Prior experience includes roles in cytogenetics at Labcorp from January to August 2023, and multiple positions at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus from February 2016 to October 2022, where responsibilities included senior professional duties and cytogenetic technologist functions. Samar's earlier career featured roles as a cytogenetic technologist at CorePath Laboratories (October 2014 - January 2016) and an internship at the University of Chicago Medicine involving constitutional/prenatal and oncology cytogenetics in 2014. Additional experience includes cytogenetics work at MD Anderson Cancer Center (2013-2014) and graduate research assistantship in nutrition at Texas Woman's University (2011-2012). Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition from Texas Woman's University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Houston.
