Yingjie Lu

Yingjie Lu is a skilled software engineer with extensive experience in control systems and robotics. Currently working at Neolix since May 2021, Yingjie leads control algorithm improvements, achieving a fivefold enhancement in the accuracy of control modules. Previously, at Gatik from January 2019 to January 2021, Yingjie was the first software engineer, contributing to the development of vehicle control and planning modules for autonomous vehicles, which significantly improved performance during deployment with Walmart. Yingjie also addressed failure scenarios and enhanced the vehicle dynamics model, and played a key role in developing the map creation process. Earlier experience includes roles at Quick Flash Technologies, where Yingjie ensured the quality of mechanical and electrical parts, and Benewake, where project coordination involved lifespan testing of new LIDAR products. Yingjie holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor's degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, with additional study at HTWG Hochschule Konstanz.
