Fan Zheng

Principal Scientist, Data Sciences at Neomorph

Fan Zheng has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and bioinformatics. They are currently working as an Associate Principal Scientist in Data Sciences at Neomorph, Inc. Their previous role was as a Senior Scientist in Informatics and Predictive Sciences at Bristol Myers Squibb, where they facilitated target and biomarker identification for drug discovery programs. They also developed and improved NGS workflows and conducted systems biology research using multi-omics, network, and machine learning approaches. Prior to that, Fan worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, San Diego, where they integrated large multi-omics data to study cancer mechanisms and developed algorithms for single-cell and proteomics data analysis. Fan gained their Ph.D. in protein sequence-structure relationships from Dartmouth College, where they analyzed protein models and predicted stability effects of mutations. They also conducted peptide design experiments. Additionally, Fan has worked as a Summer Research Fellow at the University of Utah.

Fan Zheng has a Ph.D. in Computational Biology from Dartmouth College. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biological Sciences from Peking University. In addition to their academic degrees, Fan has also obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in April 2022.
