Daeeop Kim

Daeeop Kim has a strong background in strategy and operations, with their most recent position as a Strategy & Operation Manager at NEON since July 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Samsung Electronics for several years. At Samsung, they held various roles including Strategy & Operation at Think Tank Team from September 2019 to present, where they supported the team lead in shaping the team's direction and planning. In this role, they were responsible for communication with headquarters, market research, and supporting the team's focus on creating new concepts. Daeeop also served as a Senior Strategist for New AR and VR Product Design from March 2016 to October 2021, where they managed product development, conducted research, and worked on UX concept development. In addition, Daeeop worked as a Manager at Samsung Research America from January 2015 to March 2016 and as a UX Strategist and UX Senior Designer at Samsung Electronics from 2013 to 2015. Prior to their tenure at Samsung, they worked as a Senior Designer at Designmine from 1999 to 2002.

Daeeop Kim pursued their education in a chronological manner. Daeeop began their academic journey by studying at Hongik University from 1995 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Interaction Design. Kim then enrolled at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology and completed a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Industrial Design from 2004 to 2006. Building upon their knowledge and expertise, they furthered their education at the same institute and achieved a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Industrial and Product Design from 2007 to 2017.
