MK Holody has held a variety of roles in the non-profit and corporate sectors since 2005. In that year, they began their career as a Development Associate (contract) at the United Way Capital Area. From 2006 to 2007, they worked as a Project Controls Specialist at URS Corporation and as a Public Relations & Communications Analyst -- Intern at Public Strategies, Inc. In 2008, MK Holody became the Innovation & Commercialization Program Director at the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce. In 2010, they took on the role of Corporate Sponsorships Coordinator -- Volunteer at the Texas Mamma Jamma Ride. From 2012 to 2016, MK Holody held various roles at Sorin Group and CiviCore, including Implementation & Clinical Study Specialist, Senior Project Manager, and Project Manager. In 2020, they joined Neon One as the Associate Director, Senior Manager, and Team Lead of Neon Giving Days.

MK Holody has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Purdue University Krannert School of Management. From 2006 to 2008, MK Holody attended The LBJ School of Public Affairs and obtained an MPaff in Public Affairs and Nonprofit Management. Additionally, MK Holody is currently in the process of obtaining a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, which is expected to be completed in June 2022.
