Yael Sagi's work experience began in 2004 as a post-doctoral scholar at the Weizmann Institute of Science, where they focused on the purification and functional characterization of the HIV envelope protein. They also contributed to the laboratory's successful acquisition of an important NIH grant based on their results.
From 2008 to 2012, Yael worked as a post-doctoral scholar at Stanford University School of Medicine, conducting research on stimulating human T cell subpopulations using CD28 and CD81.
In 2012, Yael returned to the Weizmann Institute of Science as a Senior Intern, studying the effect of the stromal micro-environment on cancer invasion. They established an in vitro invasion model and identified stromal secreted compounds that affected cancer cell motility and invasion using high throughput methods.
Yael then joined ImmPACT-Bio at FutuRX in 2017 as a Senior Scientist, playing a crucial role in the company's transition from an abstract idea to an in-vitro proof of concept. They made decisions regarding suitable indications and patients, developed experimental schemes and assays, and successfully demonstrated an in vitro proof of concept.
Most recently, Yael became a Research and Development Project Manager at NeoTX Therapeutics LTD in 2020.
Yael Sagi has a strong educational background in the field of biology and biochemistry. Yael began their education at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where they completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Biology, General from 1993 to 1996.
Yael then pursued a Master's degree in Biotechnology from the same university, studying from 1996 to 1998. Building upon their knowledge and expertise, Yael continued their academic journey at the prestigious Weizmann Institute of Science. Here, they conducted in-depth research in the field of Biochemistry and Microbiology, earning a Research Doctorate degree between 1999 and 2004.
Through their educational path, Yael Sagi developed a solid foundation in biology, expanding their knowledge in biotechnology, and delving into specialized research focused on biochemistry and microbiology.
