Bill Martin has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. From 1988 to 1989, they served as the Regional Pricing Officer at Travelers Insurance Companies. From 1989 to 1998, they were the Chief Operating Officer at Agency Insurance Company of Maryland. From 1993 to 2002, they held the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at AFG, Great American Financial Resources, Transport/Leader Insurance Group. From 2002 to 2011, they were the President at Bankers Insurance, and from 2011 to 2015, they were the Senior Vice President at Farmers Group Inc. From 2015 to 2016, they were the Investor and Founder at Neptune Flood Insurance, and from 2016 to present, they have been the President and CEO of Home Assurance and CEO of Bunker Hill Insurance at Plymouth Rock Assurance.

Bill Martin began their educational journey at the University of Michigan-Flint in 1980, where they studied Math, Science, and Liberal Arts but did not pursue a degree. In 1981, they transferred to Stanford University, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science in 1985. In 2006, they attended The Wharton School and completed the CPCU Executive Program, a joint program with AIC/CPCU for Executive Education for Insurance Leaders. In 2009, they attended IMD and completed an Executive Program in Leadership in Organizational Leadership. In 1993, they obtained a Licensed Insurance Agent certification from the PA and FL Departments of Insurance, and they are also a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter.
