Victoria Wickens is an accomplished Senior Programme Manager at the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) since August 2017, where responsibilities include leading funding and grants policy development and delivery. Victoria has extensive experience in research management and policy, supporting various strategic priorities at the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) level, and has played a vital role in NERC's responsive mode schemes. Prior to NERC, Victoria held positions including Programme Manager and Researcher at the University of Reading, Event Coordinator at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and Post-Doctoral Research Assistant at the University of Liverpool and Royal Holloway, University of London. Victoria's academic credentials include a PhD in Ecology from the University of Reading, an MSc in Biodiversity and Conservation, and a BSc in Biology from the University of Leeds.
