Liz Gallagher

Liz Gallagher is a Principal Data Scientist at Nesta since June 2021, having previously served as a Data Scientist at Wellcome Trust from February 2017 to June 2021, where machine learning models were applied to understand the impact of funding. Prior to this, Liz worked as an Insight Research Analyst/Data Scientist at University College London from September 2013 to June 2017, contributing to undergraduate courses in scientific computing and R for biology. Liz holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cultural Evolution, a Master of Research (MRes) in Modelling Biological Complexity, a Master of Science (MSc) in Mathematical Biology, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mathematics from UCL, University of Bath, and University of Bristol, respectively.
