Ravi Gurumurthy

Ravi Gurumurthy is the Chief Executive Officer at Nesta, a position held since December 2019. Previously, Ravi served as the Chief Innovation Officer and Vice-President of Strategy and Innovation at the International Rescue Committee from September 2013 to December 2019. Ravi's career also includes roles as Director of Strategy at the Department of Energy and Climate Change, Strategic Advisor and Speech Writer to the Foreign Secretary at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and Strategic Advisor and Speech Writer to David Miliband at both the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister. Additional experience includes serving as Head of Policy and Equalities at the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, Head of the Children At Risk Team at the Cabinet Office, Project Leader at the Social Exclusion Unit, and Researcher at Demos. Ravi Gurumurthy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Oxford, completed in 1998.
