Tom Spare

Tom Spare is an experienced professional in communications and student engagement, currently serving as the Communication and Engagement Coordinator at Nesta since June 2024. Previously, Tom co-hosted and created a politics show, RJ, Mott and Spare, for Xpress Radio while at Cardiff Students' Union. With a strong background in student support roles at Cardiff University, including managing the Confucius Institute and coordinating various student services, Tom has contributed to enhancing student experiences through strategic initiatives and collaborative projects. Tom's earlier roles include representation and engagement coordination at Hertfordshire Students' Union and volunteer leadership at Kent Union. Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Political Communication at Cardiff University, Tom holds a Bachelor's degree in Politics from the University of Kent and A-levels from St Edmund's Catholic School.
