Javaid Karim

Javaid Karim has a diverse work experience in the technology field. Javaid started their career as a Technical Lead at Barclays Global Investors, where they played a key role in restructuring the trading systems to interface with the back office and accounting systems. Javaid then moved on to Fidelity International as a Senior Developer, where they automated the order management and trading platform within an Order Management System.

From there, Karim joined GAM Investments as a Technical Lead, working on high-profile projects to replace or enhance existing systems in the hedge fund business. Javaid then joined Insight Investment as a Senior Developer, where they implemented a strategic automated pre/post trade compliance engine.

Karim also worked as an Architect/Senior Developer at DeGould, contributing to various projects from 2015 to 2018. Javaid then served as the Chief Technology Officer at Xnova, where they architectured a blockchain solution.

In 2017, Karim took on the role of Chief Technology Officer at Quran Club, the world's first social media for Muslims, building a community online by reading and completing the Quran together.

In 2019, they joined Nester as the Chief Technology Officer, responsible for technology leadership.

Most recently, Karim co-founded IslamicMarkets.com, where they served as the Chief Technology Officer and Advisor.
