Michael Polzin is an experienced food scientist and product development specialist with a robust background in the food industry. Currently serving as a Senior Specialist in Product Development at Nestlé Purina North America since February 2022, Michael previously held roles such as Principal Food Scientist at Krispy Kreme, where responsibilities included leading the development of a new line of national Branded Sweet Treats, and Senior Bakery Scientist at Tyson Foods, focusing on functional grain-based products. Michael's extensive experience also includes significant contributions at AdvancePierre Foods, General Mills, and The Pillsbury Company, along with military service as a Senior Master Sergeant in the Minnesota Air National Guard. Michael possesses a Master of Science in Food Science and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Minnesota, in addition to ongoing education in Operations and Supply Chain Management at North Carolina State University.
