Karen Johns

Karen Y. Johns is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations focused on philanthropy, social entrepreneurship, and educational development. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at Net Impact since January 2023, Karen previously held a similar position at GOOD Institute until November 2023. As National Director of External Affairs at A Better Chance and Founder and President of The Johns Consulting Group, Karen specialized in supporting charitable organizations in the U.S. and Caribbean Diaspora. Additional roles include Philanthropy Consultant for Caribbean Initiatives at Tides and Executive Director of Diversity Pipeline Alliance, where Karen fostered collaborations among nonprofits, corporations, and academic institutions. Karen’s career also includes significant contributions to Sponsors for Educational Opportunity and Tufts University. Educated at Tufts University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature, Karen's background reflects a commitment to enhancing social impact through strategic leadership and community engagement.
