Sang Muk Kwark, PhD PE PMP, currently serves as a Principal Researcher at NET Power since July 2024, focusing on clean, affordable, and reliable energy research. Prior to this role, Kwark was the Sr. Staff Scientist at Laird Thermal Systems from December 2017 to July 2024, where responsibilities included leading the product and technology development of liquid cooling systems for various markets, with specialized knowledge in alternative refrigerants, pumps, fans, and heat exchangers. Before that, Kwark held the position of Sr. Development Specialist at Praxair from December 2010 to November 2017, providing technical leadership in cryogenic heat transfer R&D for air separation units. Additional experience includes serving as a Thermal Engineer at VAPRO INC. from January 2006 to September 2010, focusing on thermal management products, and serving in the Republic of Korea Air Force as a Sergeant from April 1996 to October 1998. Kwark obtained a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington.
