Claus van der Velden

Claus van der Velden has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Claus is currently serving as the Kaufmännischer Geschäftsführer / CFO at NetCologne since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Director at Anavex Life Sciences starting from March 2018. From August 2011 to April 2021, Claus held the role of SVP Group Controlling, Internal Audit and Risk Management, Hauptabteilungsleiter at Ströer SE & Co. KGaA. Claus also worked as a Gruppenleiter Operatives Controlling Nutrition & Health at BASF from November 2010 to July 2011. Before that, they held positions at Cognis, serving as Leiter Corporate Business Controlling Nutrition & Health from July 2009 to November 2010 and Senior Manager Corporate Development from January 2008 to July 2009. Claus began their career as a Director at Simon-Kucher & Partners and worked there from 2003 to 2007.

Claus van der Velden's education history begins in 1993 when they enrolled at Kiel University. Claus pursued a degree in Diplom-Volkswirt and completed their studies in 1999. During this time, they also had the opportunity to expand their knowledge by studying economics at Stockholm University for a year from 1995 to 1996. In 1998, Claus van der Velden once again attended Stockholm University, where they further deepened their understanding of economics. After completing their studies at Kiel University, Claus van der Velden went on to pursue a Promotional degree in BWL (Business Administration) at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. Claus dedicated four years to this program and successfully graduated in 2003.
