Alex Knop

Alex Knop has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2012, they worked as a Student Intern at Walled Lake Consolidated Schools until 2014. From 2011 to 2015, Knop served as a Golf Caddie at Orchard Lake Country Club. In 2016, they joined Kunz, Leigh & Associates as a Web Application Developer, where they focused on UI updates, report creation, and data migration. In 2017, Knop worked as an IT Intern at BombBomb | Relationships Through Video, handling network infrastructure troubleshooting and implementing Wi-Fi fixes. From 2015 to 2018, they served as an Assistant to the Executive Secretary of the Office of Academic Governance at Michigan State University. At Verizon, Knop started as a Junior Edge Network Engineer and later transitioned into a Network Engineer role. Alex provided network support for government contracted employees, proactively managed data centers, and utilized Python for configuration changes and data collection. Currently, Knop is a Network Automation Engineer at NetCraftsmen starting in 2022.

Alex Knop completed a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Engineering Sciences at Michigan State University from 2014 to 2018. Additionally, they obtained various certifications, including Certified Linux Administrator (LPIC-1) from the Linux Professional Institute (LPI) in May 2023, CompTIA Linux+ from CompTIA in February 2023, Cisco Certified DevNet Associate from Cisco in January 2023, CompTIA Cloud+ from CompTIA in November 2020, Linux Essentials from the Linux Professional Institute in January 2020, Cisco Certified Network Associate from Cisco in September 2019, Carrier Ethernet Associate from Ciena in May 2019, and CCNP Service Provider from Cisco in December 2020.
