Brandy Contreras

Brandy Contreras is an experienced executive in the entertainment and animation industries, currently serving as COO of Feature Animation and VP of Talent at Netflix since April 2022. Prior to this role, Brandy held the position of SVP of Global Strategy and Business Development at Virgin Music Label & Artist Services within Universal Music Group. As the founder and CEO of Maison Zaragoza from January 2015 to December 2020, Brandy created a luxury handbag brand that merged European tradition with California chic. Additional roles include SVP of Strategic Operations at Caroline/Capitol Music Group, Head of Talent at Capitol Records, and Head of Talent, International at Twitter, Inc., where Brandy oversaw HR and recruiting strategies across 16 countries. Earlier career experience includes serving as Head of Talent at Walt Disney Animation Studios, HR Director at Sony Pictures Television International, and Attorney/Director at Walt Disney Feature Animation. Brandy Contreras earned a JD from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, between 1998 and 2003.
