Dean Garfield

VP, Public Policy at Netflix

As Vice President of Public Policy, Dean Garfield works to build and strengthen global public policy expertise, and accelerate social impact. Prior to joining Netflix in 2019, he served as President and CEO of the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI), Executive Vice President and Chief Strategic Officer for the Motion Picture Association (MPA), and Vice President of Legal Affairs at the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). He was appointed by President Obama and then re-appointed by President Trump to the President’s Trade Advisory Council and was recently appointed to the Department of Transportation Advisory Committee on Automation. Dean received a joint degree from New York University School of Law and the Woodrow Wilson School of Public Administration and International Affairs at Princeton University. He was a Ford- Rockefeller as well as a Root-Tilden-Snow scholar.
