Gagan Hasteer

Gagan Hasteer is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and infrastructure roles. Currently serving as VP of Infrastructure Engineering and previously as VP of Platform Engineering and VP of Content Engineering at Netflix since May 2011, Gagan leads initiatives related to compute, networking, and storage services, alongside optimizing financial processes tied to movie production with a team of over 500 engineers. Prior to Netflix, Gagan co-founded Calypto, where contributions included developing key technologies and securing three patents, and held engineering leadership positions at Innologic Systems and Ambit, focusing on R&D and strategic partnerships. Gagan's academic background includes an Executive MBA from The Wharton School, a Master’s and PhD in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a Bachelor's in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
