Luis Medina

Luis Medina is a highly experienced data and software engineer with a strong background in cloud infrastructure and data processing. At Netflix, from July 2020 to September 2025, Luis held the positions of Staff Data Engineer and Senior Data Engineer. Prior to Netflix, Luis worked at Lyft from February 2019 to July 2020 as a Senior Software Engineer, managing cloud infrastructure for the autonomous vehicle division. Luis began a career at Workday, serving as a Software Development Engineer from May 2015 to February 2019, where the focus was on designing a microservice-based workflow engine and mentoring interns. Earlier experience includes developing a real-time, distributed data processing pipeline at Attensity from June 2013 to May 2015 and working as a Software Engineer Intern at Ancestry.com in 2012. Luis holds a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science from the University of California, Davis, completed in January 2013.
