Qian Huang

Qian Huang is a Software Engineer currently working at Netflix since November 2024, focusing on machine learning platforms. Prior experience includes roles at X, the moonshot factory, where Qian contributed to geospatial MLOps and developed a geospatial ETL and autoML pipeline, and at Google as a Software Engineer. At LinkedIn, Qian enhanced international users' experiences in follow recommendations. As a Postdoctoral Researcher at UC Irvine, Qian designed an advanced physical machine learning model and created visual performance dashboards. Earlier roles include designing a high-dimensional physical machine learning model as a Research Assistant and serving as a Teaching Assistant. Qian holds a PhD in Earth System Science from UC Irvine, alongside a Master's in Oceanography from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a Bachelor's in Atmospheric Sciences from Lanzhou University.
