Marian Poelhekke-Verhage

Marian Poelhekke-Verhage currently serves as the Manager of Animal Facilities at Universiteit Utrecht since August 2022, focusing on science and research. Since August 2002, Marian has held various roles at the Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience, including Manager of the Transgenic Animal Facility and Operational Manager of animal facilities. In addition, Marian has been the Chair of the Coordinator Committee at the Dutch Association of Laboratory Animal Science (DALAS) since November 2016. Previous positions include serving as an IvD member and animal welfare advocate at KNAW from August 2005 to September 2021 and Chair of the Parent Council at Basisschool De Toermalijn from November 2014 to September 2021. Marian's professional journey also includes being a committee member for Themadagen at DALAS from June 2014 to February 2017. Marian obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from Avans University of Applied Sciences, completing studies between 1998 and 2002.
