Alexandru Stefan Stoica

Alexandru Stefan Stoica is a Machine Learning Engineer at NetRom since September 2019, where expertise includes developing models for various domains such as financial documents, e-commerce, and debt collection, utilizing transformers like Bert and Longformer for text classification and object recognition tasks. Prior to this role, Stoica was a Visiting Researcher at Universitat Politècnica de València, focusing on classifying educational videos through transcript analysis to enhance search engine quality, and completed an internship as a Software Engineer at Caphyon, working on a custom memory allocator. Stoica is currently pursuing a PhD at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, following a Master’s degree in Computer Software Engineering from the Faculty of Automatics, Computers and Electronics Craiova and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Craiova.
