Erik de Briae (DeBriae) has over 30 years of experience in the field of Design Verification. Starting in 1987, they served as an Air Force Officer in Civil Engineering Project Management, where they gained experience with leading teams and command-and-control leadership skills. After leaving the Air Force in 1987, Erik worked as a Design Verification Consultant at Digital Equipment Corporation, where they were a Core Group Leader in VP Barbara Walker's "Valuing Differences" program. In 2000, they became the first Design Verification hire at Pirus Networks/Sun Microsystems, where they developed and set up the DV Program and created all DV Infrastructure. From 2005 to 2008, Erik was the Design Verification Lead at Mercury Computer Systems, where they prototyped the company's first coverage-driven DV environment and its first Specman DV environment. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a Technical Leader in Design Verification at Cisco, verifying various networking IP blocks using Specman and performing gatesims. In 2010, they were a Design Verification Consultant at Motorola, creating and prototyping the design center's first VMM SystemVerilog DV environment. Finally, from 2011 to present, Erik has been the Engineering Director/Manager & Senior Principal Technical Lead at Netronome, where they have been responsible for the Design Verification Program, Silicon Quality Controls, and Tapeout Criteria and Milestones.
