John Melton

John Melton is an experienced security professional with a strong background in product and application security. Currently serving as Senior Director of Product Security at NetSuite since February 2016, John has held various roles within the company focused on building product and application security programs. Prior to NetSuite, John worked as a Principal Application Security Researcher at WhiteHat Security, where the focus was on developing a secure static analysis product suite. John also has experience in academia as a part-time lecturer at UNC Charlotte and has held various security-focused positions at organizations such as Wells Fargo, US Bank, the Department of Defense, and the Department of Homeland Security. As a Development Lead for OWASP AppSensor, John contributes to open-source projects in application intrusion detection. John holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master's degree in Computer Science and Information Technology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
