Dan Spano, PMP, PMI-ACP has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Dan began their career in 1990 in the United States Marine Corps, where they held various positions and demonstrated strong leadership skills. As Director of Aviation Safety and Standardization, they successfully managed the Operational Risk Management program, ensuring safe operations without any mishaps.
After leaving the military, Spano worked at Kellum Law Firm as a Market Research Manager, where they developed marketing strategies and implemented a direct marketing program that significantly increased response rates. Dan also evaluated firm operations and recommended changes that reduced annual expenses.
In 2015, Spano joined KPIT Extended PLM as a Project Manager, overseeing multiple concurrent Product Lifecycle Management system implementations and data migrations. Dan was responsible for project execution, quality assurance, and streamlined project reporting.
Spano then moved to iCiDIGITAL in 2017 as a Project Manager, leading Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) projects and ensuring the fulfillment of statements of work and service level agreements. In the same year, they joined Blue Acorn iCi as the Director of PMO, where they built a high-performance team and utilized collaboration software for sharing project knowledge and progress.
Most recently, Spano is working at Network Designs, Inc. as a Project Manager. Overall, their extensive experience in project management, leadership, and strategic planning makes him a valuable asset to any organization.
Dan Spano, PMP, PMI-ACP, has a diverse education history. Dan attended the United States Merchant Marine Academy, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Transportation from 1986 to 1990. Later, they pursued higher education at Trident University International, earning an MBA in Conflict and Negotiation Management from 2006 to 2008. Additionally, Dan attended North Carolina State University from 2011 to 2013, focusing on Public Administration.
In terms of certifications, Dan obtained the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute in May 2015. Dan also obtained the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification from the same institution in August 2019. More recently, in March 2019, they achieved the Adobe Professional - AEM Business Practitioner certification from Adobe, followed by the Adobe Professional - AEM Dev/Ops certification in February 2019. Dan then obtained the Adobe Certified Expert - Adobe Experience Manager Sites Business Practitioner certification in June 2020. It is worth noting that Dan also holds a Commercial Pilot certification from the Federal Aviation Administration.
