Kacey later became a Principal Auditor at the Audit Commission, overseeing external audits of London Boroughs and Primary Care Trusts.

In 2005, Kacey joined Ernst & Young as a Client Service Executive. Kacey performed internal audits for public and private sector clients, including central government entities, and played a key role in project audits and improving the quality of deliverables.
