James Heslop

James Heslop has extensive experience in strategic leadership and organizational transformation within the railway industry. Currently serving as Head of Strategy at Network Rail since July 2007, James has led initiatives in international business development, market analysis, and corporate governance. Previous roles include Head of Rail Technology, where James was responsible for a comprehensive five-year technology strategy, and Head of Transformation, focusing on improving project delivery efficiency through innovative techniques. With additional experience in program management, business change, and operational roles across various capacities, James has successfully managed multiple large-scale transformation projects with significant financial and operational impacts. Academic credentials include a Post Graduate degree in Business Leadership from the University of Warwick and a BA in Contemporary History from York St. John College.
