Martin Hartley

Martin Hartley is a Senior Programme Development Manager at Network Rail since November 2006, with a focus on early-stage development for Northern Powerhouse Rail at Leeds station from 2019 onward. Hartley's expertise extends to managing a portfolio of schemes, including freight capacity and linespeed projects, as well as overseeing significant railway developments during previous roles as Senior Development Manager and Scheme Project Manager. Prior to Network Rail, Hartley held various positions in prominent companies, including Manufacturing Manager at DENSO Manufacturing UK Ltd and Integrated Supply Chain Manager at David Brown Gear Systems Limited. Hartley began the career at ABB Transportation, progressing from Quality Control/Auditor to Industrial Engineer. Academic qualifications include an MBA from the University of Hull and a Post Graduate Award in Business Leadership from the University of Warwick.
